The Sacral Chakra and Carnelian:
Located in the lower belly and inner pelvis, the physical organs that are primarily nourished by this chakra are sexual organs, lower intestine, lower vertebrae, pelvis, appendix and bladder. The element associated with this chakra is water and this energy centre offers direct access to flow, flexibility, and pleasure.
- Element: Water
- Purpose: Movement, flow, expansion, pleasure
- Petals: Six
- Seed Sound: Vam
- Deficient: Rigid, stiff, dry, numb
- Excessive: Poor containment, watery, slippery, indulgent
- Balanced: Graceful movement balancing strength and flexibility
Yoga Asana's:
Poses which open hips, create awareness and sensations in the pelvis.
Dynamic Poses: Pigeon Pose (Eka Pada Kapotasana), Open Leg Forward Fold (Upavistha Konasana), Standing Forward Fold (Uttanasana)
Relaxing Poses: Reclined Butterfly (Supta Baddha Konasana), Fire Log Pose (Agnistambhasana), Happy Baby Pose (Ananda Balasana)
How To Use Carnelian With The Sacral Chakra:
Carnelian gets inner fires burning hot and bright! If you are lacking the energy or the focus to re-ignite your creative juices and have them flowing abundantly then Carnelian is your crystal!
